Amongst the cries of cultural appropriation and struggle for acceptance towards diversity, Asia Society Philippines will be holding Asia Society Conversations: 'Why Care About Culture?'.
In partnership with Acceler8 Coworking, Asia Society Philippines aims to discuss how cultural adaptation can be used as a tool for achieving goals in different areas with varying cultures. It will include talking about the importance of recognizing and adapting to other cultures, and benefits gained in doing so from professionals who have gone through similar experience.
The panel will be consisting of:
- Lester Estrada, Country Marketing Director of Proctor & Gamble Philippines
- Norberto 'Peewee' Roldan, Co-Founder of Green Papaya Art Projects
- Dr. Alfredo Robles, University Fellow and former Professor of International Studies at De La Salle University
- Amina Rasul, President of the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy
Although pre-registration is now closed, they will still be accepting walk-in participants starting at 6PM.
The standard rate for the entrance fee is at Php 350.00 but Asia Society members, Acceler8 members, and students will be paying Php 250.00, just be sure to bring valid IDs just in case.
The door charge will be inclusive of food and drinks.
