LIPAD KABATAAN: “Youth Involvement, Youth Empowerment”

The Chairperson and Founder of Lipad Kabataan, which aims to improve people's lives by empowering the next generation to action.
 
Enrico Marquez  Jr., share his story and how he lead and unite the youth to take action and find opportunities to help despite the global health crisis.

 

In the Segment, Mr. Marquez states that he is a teacher, Public Information officer, a Volunteer, and a chairperson and founder of a national youth organization that advocates Youth involvement and Youth empowerment, that aims to give Youths a platform that can make powerful programs and builds meaningful connections and partnerships with a various organization with the same goal that centers in Environmental protection, Poverty and Hunger alleviation and education for all.


The organization started when Mr. Marques was an OFW in Vietnam, and when the pandemic started to emerge. He decided to go back to the Philippines After he learned the situation of the people under the community Lockdown formally gathered and encourage youths to have the power to serve the people that would help out in addressing societal issues.


Lipad Kabataan also shares the programs and projects they already implemented; first, the Tulong kay Tsuper Initiative that supports Jeepney drivers that affect by the lockdown, this project has 4 Phase. Second, Care Kits program, where they purchased Multivitamins, medicines, Thermometer, and Blood pressure monitoring device. Third, One of the biggest projects of Lipad Kabataan, The Masagana-Ani project, which empowers farmer communities, and Lastly, the Community Pantry that gives logistic Support. However, in this face of success, the organization also encounters Challenges. We cannot invalidate that success has come from failures. We just need to continue to do what we love and look for the people who always believe in what we can do.
